A Court for All Seasons


With the prompt to honor every player in the history of the franchise on the Mavericks’ core court, the team became the first in the league to do so. The key art solution was a repeating text block of intertwining player names with star players being displayed in increasing proportions according to their impact. In all, 337 players (and one local honorable mention) were prominently displayed in navy color type on the royal blue court apron. Many former players enjoyed a moment locating their name, and, with the inclusion of certain infamous figures, fan engagement on social media soared during its unveil.
